Abstract

Online shopping is an electronic commerce which offers customers or consumers the opportunity of buying goods or services directly from a seller over the internet using a web browser. Now a day, the customers are more interested in buying products by surfing the net of online shopping stores and buy products based on the availability and pricing by comparing with different e - retailers. This kind of purchase is available for a host of categories comprising of electronic goods, clothing, beauty products, luggage accessories, groceries and other consumer products. This study aims to identify the promotional offers made by different online stores to customers to motivate online shopping and found the variety of products available. The perceived convenience of the buyers through online experience is a significant motivating factor which reduces time offers better prices, more variety, fewer expenses and less compulsive shopping. Online customers are increasing day by day due to development of technologies and effortless method of convenient shopping. In the recent scenario the consumers who go and buy products from Malls or local departmental stores are decreasing due to several online shopping privileges. This study also brings out the merits and demerits of online shopping. It would create awareness among customers what the pros and cons are of shopping on line.
