Today’s fastest, highly populated and polluted world, Stress is a common issue which plays a major role humans life. Each and everybody are facing Stress due to various reasons. It is a mental strain which promotes various disorders. The present study examines the level of stress among Assistant Professor working in Private Universities and providing few suggestions to overcome from it. Sample includes 60 faculties drawn from four Private Universities in Chennai using simple random sampling method. Primary data were collected using a structured questionnaire and were analysed using mean, t-test and chi-square test. The level of stress factors was determined in a sequence. Further, among demographic information of respondents, the results revealed that there is a significant relationship between socio-economic and demographic variables of the respondents Such as Designation, Gender, Age, Marital Status, and Experience with the level of stress factors. The present study also focuses on suggesting some techniques to reduce the level of Stress by following ways like yoga, breathing exercises, meditation, Listening music, reading stories and novels etc.
