Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is bringing enormous advancements to many areas of our daily lives, including home appliances, vehicles, industry, education, agriculture, hospitals, environmental monitoring, etc. Domains such as these are experiencing rapid growth and reaching new peaks. As technology advances and becomes more convenient, each aspect of the IoT has its own mark and milestone. As a result of the integration of various technologies and techniques, the Internet of Things creates an organized and interconnected world, allowing communication between entities to be more efficient, effective, and valuable. Security, privacy, authentication, and trustworthiness are the four main characteristics of any technology. IoT security primarily concerns authentication, confidentiality, and access control to ensure users' satisfaction. In addition to NFC, RFID, and WSN, there are several ways to manage IoT security, privacy, and trust. There is currently a need for comprehensive security solutions for IoT across various vertical application domains, inhibiting IoT systems' development. For IoT devices to fill this gap in security and privacy, this paper will focus on the top ten areas that need to be secured from a security and privacy standpoint
