Abstract

Converting conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) cars to electric counterparts has become an essential endeavor in the pursuit of ecologically sustainable mobility alternatives. The feasibility and execution tactics of converting current TVS Streak Scooters into electric scooters are the main topics of this study. To determine what has to be changed for an electric conversion, a thorough evaluation of the TVS Streak Scooter’s mechanical and electrical properties is first carried out. To ensure compatibility with electric propulsion systems, this entails assessing crucial parts, including the chassis, suspension, and braking system. Then, taking performance, range, and efficiency into consideration, the proper electric components—such as motors, batteries, controllers, and charging systems—are carefully chosen and integrated. The study also covers the certification requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance related to retrofitting activities. Strategies for reducing risks and guaranteeing compliance with industry requirements are examined alongside obstacles and limitations. The financial feasibility and environmental advantages of converting TVS Streak Scooters into electric scooters are also highlighted. These advantages include possible fuel and maintenance cost reductions as well as a decrease in carbon emissions and environmental effects. This abstract also emphasizes how crucial it is for stakeholders— manufacturers, legislators, and consumers—to work together in order to promote the widespread use of electric retro fitment solutions. Electric scooters and other modified vehicles can be adopted more quickly by removing adoption barriers and boosting partnerships, awareness, education, and incentives. In the end, this abstract aims to demonstrate the revolutionary potential of converting TVS Streak Scooters with SI engines into electric Scotties, not only in terms of environmental sustainability but also in fostering inclusion, creativity, and resilience within the transportation industry.
