Green behaviour refers to actions, attitudes, and decisions that individuals or organizations undertake to minimize harm to the environment and promote sustainability. It involves adopting practices that reduce carbon footprints, conserve natural resources, and support ecological balance. Green HRM practices in private sector banks in Chennai district refer to human resource management strategies and initiatives aimed at integrating environmental sustainability principles into the bank's organizational culture and operations. These practices involve incorporating environmental considerations into various HR functions such as recruitment, training, performance management, compensation, and employee engagement. This study examines the impact of these practices on employee green behaviour within Chennai's private sector banks. Methodologically, data were gathered through a structured questionnaire distributed to 198 participants using non-probability convenient sampling, complemented by secondary sources like publications. Statistical analyses included frequency analysis, chi-square tests, and independent sample t-tests, with SPSS used for data processing. The findings suggest that these strategies aim to enhance employee engagement, support sustainability initiatives, and foster long-term organizational success in private sector banks.
