Biomarkers, which are indicators of biological processes, pathogenic conditions, or responses totherapeutic interventions, play a crucial role in cancer treatment. Real-time analysis of therapy efficacy is considered crucial in cancer treatment as it enables the monitoring of treatment response. Evaluation of changes in biomarker levels enables clinicians to determine the efficacy of a therapy, tailor therapies to individual patients, and promptly modify treatment plans. Ensuring this precision not only enhances the effectiveness of treatment but also minimizes unnecessary adverse effects, therefore enhancing patient survival. Thus in the quest for personalized and adaptable cancer therapy, biomarkers are vitally indispensable tools. Highlighting their role in monitoring the response to treatment, this study specifically examines the significant transition from the identification of cancer biomarkers to their application in therapy. This chapter examines the progress made in biomarketer research, which has reduced the gap between potential markers and their practical use in clinical settings. The study underscores the significance of biomarkers in providing immediate information on the effectiveness of treatment, prediction of outcomes, and customization of medical guidance. Examining significant developments and challenges in this sector enables the study to emphasize the potential of biomarkers to revolutionize cancer therapy and improve patient outcomes. Biomarkers are identified in the review as crucial for improving treatment accuracy by allowing real-time monitoring of therapeutic response. Specifically, it emphasizes the effectiveness of some biomarkers in directing individualized treatment approaches and forecasts that future developments will enhance their clinical use, ultimately enhancing patient results and transforming cancer care.
