The confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and services in mobile cloud environments are crucially supported by security algorithms for Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC). This research paper presents a new framework for data encryption and integrity checking in an MCC environment called AES-HMAC (Advanced Encryption Standard- Hash-based Message Authentication Code). In a mobile cloud environment, this setup offers an excellent framework for protecting data while it is in transmission and at rest. While HMAC creates a hash-based message security code using a cryptographic hash method and a secret key to assure the validity and integrity of the data, AES assures that data is encrypted using a symmetric encryption technique. To evaluate the algorithms’ efficiency in protecting private medical data, we simulated MCC security systems using the CloudSim simulator while processing a range of healthcare dataset. AES-HMAC can beat standalone AES, DES encryption and hash algorithms in terms of response time, error rate, and latency.
