Challenges in Turbomatching - An Ample Review M. Chandrasekaran Badal Dev Roy R. Saravanan
One of the major contributions of emission of green-house gases like CO2 is by transport. The energy demand increases steeply and due to its scarcity, the price hike of fuel also increases day by day. The best way of reducing the CO2 emission and economizing the fuel consumption is appropriate turbomatching. The turbomatching is applicable for all internal combustion engines. The matched turbocharger in the engine helps to complete combustion, helps in scavenging at each cycle, fuel economy, reduction of CO2 emission, increases the efficiency etc. but the perfect match of the turbocharger to the desired engine is tedious job and demands sophisticated technology, more skill and experiences. The objective of this review is to briefly discuss the purpose, pros and cons of each method and the challenges involved to identify the best turbocharging match.
