Abstract

Nanofluids are dispersions of nanoparticles in liquid and exhibit unique thermophysical characteristics unlike the traditional base liquids like water, glycols or oils. Several models have been established to elucidate the reason behind such improvement in heat transfer of nanofluids which includes interfacial thermal resistance, Brownian motion, and conduction due to partical aggregation. Here we report the synthesis and thermophysical property characterization of Aluminium Oxide mixed with ethelene glycol nanofluid with varying concentration of carbon nanotubes and temperatures. The significance of Al2O3 nanofluids with EG/water as a base fluid in heat transfer applications is highlighted. The experimentally obtained information is in good agreement with the given data.
