Abstract

Introduction and Aim: Combat with cancer is a one of the key medical challenges of our society. Conversely, present chemotherapeutic advances are not enough to maintain a life expectancy of cancer affected patients. Therefore, translational research can pave the novel prospect to treat cancer in a fundamental way. In that connection, basic research Showed G-Quadruplex phenomenon of DNA, which is having a great impact in current chemotherapy. Materials and Methods: Our present study was undertaken to develop a G-Quadruplex DNA stabilizer, which is having a target-specific interaction that helps to minimize the toxicity of the compound. We synthesized and characterized our two ligands (Compound A, Compound D) and performed MTT assay to estimate the IC50 value of the ligands. Results: The results have shown that Compound A and Compound D successfully minimized the cancer cell (HeLa) population into the culture medium. Thus, the IC50 value of the Compound A and Compound D were found to be 9.19 μM and 17.34 μM respectively. Conclusion: It is concluded that our present synthesized molecules could have possible future in cancer therapeutics, as the preliminary data suggested the potential cell cytotoxicity and possible DNA-quadruplet interaction by molecular docking simulation.
