Abstract

Introduction and Aim: Li-Fi is also known as Light Fidelity or Visible Light Communication (VLC). It is a wireless technique which uses light as its major source for the transmission of data. Visible light spectrum has a wide bandwidth in the electromagnetic spectrum with a wavelength range of 400nm to700 nm. LED is the transmitter unit which converts the digital bits and electrical signals of data as Visible light signals. Li-Fi is a novel technology for high density wireless data transfer relieving no radio interferences in confined areas so it can be used in biosensors to measure various health parameters. Materials and Methods: In the present study Light emitting diode (LED) has been used for the transfer of bulk data. Li-Fi technique can communicate or transmit the data in the form of visible light signal from one end to another end. Results: Here electrical signal is converted into light energy and then transmitted to far end in open space. In the receiver end Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) is used to sense the visible light signal. By using this technique without any hardware media voice signal can be sent without any loss for long distance. Conclusion: In this proposed system voice and load control operation is carried on. To control the different electrical load Dual Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) coding technique is used. In transmitter side microphone, DTMF generator, Mixer unit and laser source are used to transmit signal. In receiver side LDR Based optic source, DTMF decoder, amplifier and switching relay are used to reproduce the audio signal and decode the control signal. By this using Li-Fi technology the researcher could design and implementation of digital communication in open space has been done successfully. The above mentioned technology has been implemented in all the automation of devices and biomedical equipments for data transfer.
