Abstract

The protective effect of Phyllanthus amarus L in the irradiated roots of onion was evaluated. The results were
indicated that the Phyllanthus extract showed a radio modifier effect by reducing the frequency of aberrant cells
in the meristematic cells exposed to gamma rays.
