Abstract
The fast-growing world needs higher strength material with a lower weight; this implies more number
of researchers focused on the material research environment. The reduction of weight and improving
the strength of the material is possible by only in composite materials. Adding ceramic material is one
of the best methods in the strength improvement of the composite materials. In this research article
focused to improve the mechanical properties by adding silicon carbide particles in the molten
aluminium 7075 matrix composite. The aluminium metal matrix composite has an important role in
the engineering field for manufacturing various aerospace and automobile components. The silicon
carbide particles of the various weight percentages (5%, 7.5%, and 10%) added with aluminium 7075
matrix in the stir casting process. To the improvement of the material characteristic, the cast
(100×100×5mm) billets were hot rolled. The thermomechanical treatment formed the equiaxed
grains, which improve the mechanical properties of the material, which is characterized by yield
strength, ultimate tensile strength, elongation, and hardness tests.
