Abstract

The information technology industry, effective
stress management is fairly important for staff members in
that field. Stress influences organizational productivity and
human performance significantly. Usually derived from
variables like long working hours, tight deadlines, and the
continually changing needs of technology improvements. If
one has to meet these difficulties, stressing management of
Training and Development (T&D) projects becomes even
more important. The aim of this paper is to evaluate among
Chennai IT workers the efficacy of stress management
training and development projects. The primary goal is
assessment of the effects such initiatives have on workers'
degrees of stress, degree of contentment with their jobs, and
general production. Using a survey-based technique, we
gathered five hundred people from the most well-known
information technology companies in Chennai. After using a
standard questionnaire to compile the data, descriptive
statistics and paired sample t-tests were applied for analysis.
According to the figures, 36% of the participants claimed
their stress levels fell following the training, even though
72% of them claimed they were extremely anxious before the
session. Moreover, 84% of employees claimed that after
program participation, they developed their capacity to
control stress related to their employment. Before the
training began, the average job satisfaction level was 3.2;
but, it increased to 4.1 all around following the program.
Apart from this, the intervention raised the indices of
organizational productivity including degree of fulfillment of deadlines and delivery quality by 25%.
