Abstract
In the contemporary organizational environment, human capital transparency has emerged as a crucial factor influencing employee outcomes and overall organizational effectiveness. This study examines the impact of transparency in human capital practices on employees’ work-life balance, with special reference to Madurai district. The research adopts a descriptive and analytical design, using both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected from 200 respondents through a structured questionnaire based on a Likert scale. Statistical tools such as percentage analysis, correlation, regression, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were employed for data analysis. The findings reveal that the level of transparency in human capital practices and employees’ work-life balance is moderate. The results further indicate a strong positive and significant relationship between transparency and work-life balance. Regression and SEM analyses confirm that human capital transparency significantly influences work-life balance both directly and indirectly through employee satisfaction. The study highlights that transparent HR practices enhance trust, reduce role ambiguity, and improve employees’ ability to balance professional and personal responsibilities. The study contributes to the existing literature by integrating human capital transparency with work-life balance in a regional context. It also provides practical insights for organizations to design transparent HR policies and employee-centric practices to enhance well-being and productivity.
