Abstract
The growing intersection between technology and employee well-being represents a transformative shift in Human
Resource Management (HRM). As digitalization continues to redefine work patterns, the rise of digital wellness
programs including mobile health apps, AI-driven therapy tools, wearable devices, and online resilience training offers HR a strategic avenue to address mental health
challenges in the workplace. This chapter explores how digital wellness interventions enhance employee mental health, resilience, engagement, and work life
balance, positioning HR as a proactive
agent in the creation of psychologically
healthy digital workplaces.
Drawing from theories of occupational
health psychology, positive organizational
behavior, and digital well-being, this study
conceptualizes a Digital Mental Wellness
Framework (DMWF) that integrates technological tools with human-centered HR practices. The chapter synthesizes research findings from 2015 2024 and proposes a model emphasizing accessibility, personalization, and empathy-driven design in digital wellness
systems. It concludes that successful HRled mental health interventions depend not
only on technology adoption but also on
organizational empathy, leadership
support, and ethical implementation.
