Abstract
A controlled evaluation approach was employed to compare Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) with conventional therapies in order to assess its effectiveness. Approximately 120 clinically diagnosed insomnia cases were divided into four groups: CBT-I, conventional CBT-I, a sleep education program (control), and a no-treatment waiting list. Over a six-week intervention period, participants received cognitive restructuring exercises, sleep tracking activities, and interactive lessons delivered through a mobile platform. Before and after the intervention, assessments were conducted using the Sleep-Related Quality of Life Scale, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), the SF-36 Health Survey, and the WHO-5 Well-Being Index. Statistical analysis showed that the CBT-I group experienced a significant reduction in insomnia symptoms and improvements in overall well-being (p < 0.01). Although CBT-I demonstrated notable advantages in terms of accessibility and adherence, its outcomes were comparable to those of conventional CBT-I.
