Abstract

This paper aims to examine how the concentration of Cu-Sic-Flyash affects the Vortex tube properties of composites and performance of fabrication parts. One of the conventional refrigeration is the vortex tube, which is a mechanical device with no moving parts. In this present work copper, silicon carbide and flyash as composition is used which is metal matrix composite. By varying the percentage of constituents in composite, vortex tube of three different compositions is going to be analyzed by simulation. The three compositions are Cu-99%, SiC-0.75% and flyash-0.25% as sample-1 and sample-2 as Cu-93%, SiC-5% and flyash-2% and sample-3 as Cu-80%, SiC-15% and flyash-5%. On the above mentioned three samples, Experimental analysis includes structural and thermal analysis is carried out in this study to determine the best composition among three compositions based upon the results. Subsequently, the optimal composition is created, and the efficiency of the vortex tube is assessed by altering the sizes of the orifices and the pressures at the input. The performance measure is chosen to be the cooling effect and heating impact.
