Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between
emotional intelligence and problem-solving abilities among XI Standard students in
their Gender and Locality. The pilot study sample consisted of 100 students from the
Coimbatore District, including both males and females. This study utilized the
emotional intelligence scale and the problem-solving ability scale to collect data in
order to address the research topics. No significant gender or geographical differences
were found in any of the categories, and the findings indicated a positive correlation
between problem-solving skills and emotional intelligence. The results revealed
significant differences in the students' abilities to solve problems and exhibit emotiona intelligence
