Abstract

In education, AI has emerged as a disruptive intervention, particularly in methods of assessment and evaluation.Traditional approaches to evaluation are often laborious, subjective, and suffer from limited capacity for providing personalizedfeedback. Automated grading, adaptive testing, learning analytics, and real-time feedback mechanisms are some of the ways AIbased assessment systems address the challenge. Artificial Intelligence has developed so rapidly that it has revolutionizedpractically every sector; education is no exception. AI has been impacting assessment and evaluation in education significantly.Traditional modes of assessment suffer from subjectivity, require huge amounts of time, lack feedback, and cannot cater todiversified learning needs.
This study showcases how AI improves the effectiveness, fairness, and inclusiveness in assessment. The moral issues ofalgorithmic bias and data privacy are also discussed in this study. On the basis of the information presented in this study, itconcludes with the idea of how AI technology integrated with human judgment can increase the quality and effectiveness ofeducational evaluation significantly
