Abstract

Densitometric evaluation using High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) is a highly effective method for the standardization of medicinal plants and other natural products, particularly those employed in various medical systems. This technique has been validated as an authoritative method of analysis in several pharmacopeia’s, including the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and the Indian Pharmacopeia (IP).
