Abstract

Employee engagement in the hospitality sector plays a crucial role in determining service quality and guest
satisfaction. Initiatives such as employee recognition, professional development, and team-building activities help
create a positive work environment, enhance productivity, and improve job satisfaction and retention. Highly engaged
employees tend to be more committed to their roles, deliver personalized service, anticipate guest needs, and resolve
issues effectively—qualities that are essential in an industry driven by human interaction. However, factors such as
irregular work schedules, emotional demands, and physical fatigue can negatively impact engagement if adequate
organizational support is not provided.
The study adopted a descriptive research design and collected primary data from 120 employees using structured
questionnaires with convenience sampling. Data were analyzed using percentage analysis. The findings show that
engaged employees are more committed, productive, and contribute to organizational growth. They are more likely to
stay, perform better, and support the organization. Employee engagement improves efficiency, adaptability, and
overall performance. A positive work environment, clear roles, effective communication, and proper guidance
significantly enhance engagement and motivate employees to perform their best.
