Abstract

This study investigates the role of emotional intelligence (EI) in reducing work-related stress and improving work-life balance among employees in Chennai’s IT-enabled services (ITES) sector. Using data from 115 ITES employees and analytical techniques such as exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression, the study found that emotional intelligence dimensions including self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social awareness positively influence work-life balance and negatively correlate with work stress.
