Abstract

The interest in producing fiber optic networks that can sustain the rise of bandwidth demands is getting popular since last one decade. The implementation of Optical Code Division Multiple Accesses (OCDMA) over Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) system is developing to meet the demand of the users. By developing OCDMA over WDM, Multi Access Interference (MAI) might occur. MAI is one of the principal causes for performance degradation in optical CDMA especially in immense users. The modified double weight (MDW) code is used as a signature address. This code has enormous advantages that code can accommodate more number of concurrent active users. A detection technique has been developed in order to increase the number of OCDMA's users. At the same time should reducing MAI also. A study is to different detection technique which will produce the highest throughput for OCDMA over WDM technologies.
