Abstract

Kerala has good micro entrepreneurship networks. Kudumbashree has a big network of micro
enterprises across the state. However, only one third of them are turning into successful enterprises
interns of sustainability and profitability. The innovative and professional strategies they adapt has key
role in their success. The successful enterprises adopt innovative strategies in material purchase, systems
of production, product branding and marketing. This paper is an attempt to analyse the experiences
successful kudumbashree enterprises in Thrissur Corporation and its surroundings. This analysis has
been done based on the study of innovative strategies applied by these units to ensure their profitability
and sustainability of units from various sectors such as food production, garments, fruit processing and
food court have been taken for analysis.
