Abstract

One of the key elements that significantly affect the teaching and learning process in the classroom is
classroom management. Challenged behavioural difficulties can be successfully dealt with by teachers
who have strong classroom management skills. However, ineffective classroom managers will become
agitated if they fail to address behavioural issues. This situation also disrupts the teaching and learning
session. In this research aspiring teachers’ knowledge was measured based on their understanding
regarding Classroom Management and its dimensions. The purposive sampling technique used in
sample selection. To be selected in this research, respondents must be final year B.Ed. students who
have completed the courses and teaching practicum. The Sample was taken from different types of
Colleges of Education in Tiruvannamalai District. The important findings of the study revealed that
Classroom Management of aspiring teachers have significant difference between gender, age, locality
and their qualification. Recommendation was given according to the findings
