Abstract

Teaching is an emotional endeavour among other things. The subject of teachers' genuine emotional competence as well as methods for learning these skills has been raised as being emotionally competent has subtly become a requirement for the teaching profession. The objective of the current study is to measure the relationship between student teachers' emotional maturity and their ability to teach. To explore the link between the variables, the researcher employed a survey methodology, and the relevant data was collected using random sampling. 350 student teachers from colleges of education (both male and Female) made up the sample for the current study. To get the required data from the community, Harsangeet Kaur (2019) created and validated the Emotional Maturity Scale, and investigator constructed the Teaching Competency Scale. Karl Pearson's product moment correlation test and the Mann-Whitney test were used to assess the data. The main findings are that, emotional maturity and teaching competency of student teachers are positively correlated.
