Abstract
Emerging technologies like IoT, AI, cloud computing, 5G, and
quantum computing have revolutionized industries while introducing
significant cybersecurity challenges. These include weak
authentication in IoT, adversarial attacks on AI, misconfigurations in
cloud environments, expanded attack surfaces in 5G, and the
cryptographic risks posed by quantum computing. Common attack
vectors such as DDoS, data manipulation, and model theft are
analyzed, along with targeted defence strategies like strong
authentication, adversarial training, Zero Trust Architecture, and
quantum-resistant cryptography. Practical examples from healthcare,
finance, and autonomous systems illustrate the critical need for evolving cybersecurity measures to protect interconnected systems,
ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
