Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is
revolutionizing recruitment processes
across industries, and the healthcare
sector—one of the most complex and
labor-intensive fields—is increasingly
adopting AI-driven tools to streamline
talent acquisition. This chapter examines
the efficiency and operational benefits of
AI-driven recruitment in the healthcare
industry, while also addressing its ethical
and social implications. Using a research-
based conceptual framework supported by
secondary data and hypothetical modeling,
the chapter analyzes how AI optimizes
hiring through predictive analytics,
automation, and natural language
processing (NLP). It highlights
improvements in speed, accuracy, and cost-
effectiveness, as well as challenges related
to bias, transparency, and accountability.
Findings suggest that AI recruitment
systems enhance workforce planning and
candidate experience but require robust
governance and ethical safeguards to
prevent misuse. The chapter concludes
with a framework for responsible AI
adoption, ensuring a balance between
operational efficiency and human-centric
ethics in healthcare hiring.
