Abstract

The machining parameters of wire cut EDM process for aluminium composites were optimized through this experiment. The optimization was carried out by Taguchi method.
The control parameter for the optimization are Reinforcement Size, Volume Fraction, Pulse on, Pulse Off and wire feed for material removal rate and surface roughness. The
experimental results optimized the proposed parameter which tends to achieve maximum material removal rate and minimum surface roughness.
