Abstract
Driver fatigue is a significant contributor to road accidents, especially during long journeys and night-time driving. This paper presents the development of a driver fatigue detection system using eye movement sensors to prevent accidents caused by drowsiness. By monitoring eye blinks and gaze patterns, the system can accurately detect fatigue and alert the driver in real time. The system integrates eye-tracking sensors, a microcontroller, and an
alert mechanism to provide an efficient, cost-effective solution to enhance road safety. Additionally, the study explores the alignment of this technology with various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including improving road safety, health, and responsible consumption of resources.
