Abstract
Predictive maintenance, driven by advancements in artificial
intelligence (AI) and machine learning, is revolutionizing the way
mechanical systems are monitored and maintained. Unlike
traditional preventive maintenance, which follows scheduled
intervals, or reactive maintenance, which occurs post-failure,
predictive maintenance uses AI to anticipate equipment
malfunctions before they happen. This proactive approach enables
industries to optimize maintenance schedules, reduce downtime,
and extend the life of machinery, resulting in substantial cost
savings and efficiency improvements.
