Abstract
Prescribing drugs require a wide knowledge of drug interactions and side effects. The drug properties such as health improvement, side effects relies on the characteristics of patients likeage, gender, symptoms and genetic profiles. We propose a tool that can be used to assist medical consultants and patients in choosing and finding drugs for their needs and wedesigned an approach that can allow the registered users to query for the necessary drugs that matches their symptoms. Several disadvantages have encountered in the traditional query system which gives suggestions that exactly matches the query. Hence, this approach considers the answers that exact and closely matches the query. A heterogeneous graph database isused for this personalized and predictive drug query system. It is observed that the operating characteristics can be highly improved in this network based approach.
