Abstract

The Indian education system is undergoing lot of transformation. The Government of India is to introduce Information and Communication Technology program in every school through a program called Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA). Information and Communication Technology has started to play an inevitable role in the teaching-learning process. The paper tries to explore the perceptions of rural government teachers on Technological knowledge. Secondly the paper to analyse the correlation ship between Technological knowledge over Awareness on ICT websites among teachers that are created by Ministry of Human Resource Development (India). The third aim of this research paper is relationship between the perceptions Technological knowledge, Awareness on ICT websites among teachers that are created by Ministry of Human Resource Development (India) and Technological Pedagogical Knowledge. The data for the study were gathered through a questionnaire administered to 200 respondents who were school teachers. In total, 133 questionnaires were retrieved. This represented approximately 66.5 percent return rate. Purposive sampling was used for the study. The author has used frequency analysis to analyse the demographic profile of the respondents. ANOVA analysis was used to know the significance of perceptions among the respondents on the basis of gender, age and experience. Correlation analysis is used to find the relationship among variables. The researcher has used to factor analysis to know the dominant factors among the school teachers. The findings of the study reveal that teachers possess sound technological knowledge and are aware on the various websites like NPTEL, MOOC and course era are it is utilised by them in the class for effective learning among school children. © 2018, Indian Journal of Public Health Research and Development.
