Adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation is causing a notable change in the manufacturing sector, which is about to go through another major change. The several ways that artificial intelligence and automation have affected human resources (HR) in the manufacturing sector is the focus of this research paper Its goal is to throw attention on the chances and difficulties still to arise. This research project employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with executives from manufacturing firms and human resource professionals with quantitative questionnaires. The results show a scene in which artificial intelligence and automation have already started to change manufacturing industry human resource roles. The automation of jobs like payroll processing and candidate screening for employment has made workforce reallocation and chances for upskill possible. After the study ends, a set of suggestions relevant to legislators, manufacturers, and human resource managers is offered. This emphasizes the need of proactive human resource plans that see artificial intelligence and automation as tools to improve the workforce rather than as tools to replace it. Given the manufacturing sector is becoming an ecosystem shaped by artificial intelligence, this paper provides insightful analysis of the changing function of human resources in controlling the human-AI workforce, so influencing the future of employment in the manufacturing sector.
