Abstract

The technology of gel permeation chromatography is extensively employed in the analysis and separation
of polymers according to their molecular weight. Utilizing multi-detection methods like UV absorbance
and light scattering, this improved GPC approach offers more precise details regarding the molecular
weight distribution, chemical structure, and composition of the polymer. Researchers can gain a thorough
understanding of complex polymer materials, including the analysis of additives, contaminants, and
copolymers, by integrating various detection techniques. Furthermore, reliable molecular weight
measurements for polymers with varying chemical structures and solvent analysis are made possible by
this sophisticated GPC approach. In research and industrial contexts, where accurate polymer characterization
is essential for product development and quality control, this sophisticated GPC approach is useful.
