Abstract

Nowadays, customers may use the Internet to purchase practically any goods. Online food and nutrition buying is growing in popularity. The purpose of this essay is to outline the terms of online grocery shopping and the attitudes of customers about online food purchases. Convenient sampling is the method applied. 200 questionnaires were distributed to the people who are using online groceries app for their shopping in Chennai city. Finally 180 questionnaires were returned from the customers in Chennai city. The evaluation is predicated on secondary data sources. Online grocery supermarkets offer customers access to a wide variety of stores and items worldwide, and they do not have any restrictions on localization or operating hours. Convenience and time savings are the biggest benefits of online shopping, but the biggest drawbacks for customers are the possibility of misjudging some products and concerns about the handling and selection of perishables like meat, eggs, and vegetables. The findings indicate a favorable relationship between customers’ propensity to buy groceries online and perceived trust, hedonic incentives, social effects, and enabling factors. However, the intention to buy is unaffected by financial risk. The way that consumers feel about buying online reflects how they feel psychologically about using the Internet to make purchases. The term online buying behaviour describes the practice of making purchases online.
