Abstract

Nanoparticles are synthesized using green chemistry approach by utilizing the phytochemicals and other active compounds from the plants, algae, and other agro-wastes. In this study, the silver nanoparticles were synthesized by Paspalum scrobiculatum (Kodo millet) husks as reducing agent. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by various spectroscopic and microscopic methods. All analysis confirms the formation of crystalline nature of Ag NPs particles with an average size of 22 nm. The study concludes that, the agro-wastes like husks of Kodo millet act as a reducing agent during the synthesis of nanoparticles. It offers a wide range of application in biomedical, sustainability development, and environmental remediation.
