This study examines the link between learning strategies, self-efficacy, and academic motivation among Arts and Science students in Chennai, India. It explores how the use of particular learning strategies can impact students’ confidence in their academic abilities (self-efficacy) and their overall motivation to achieve academic success. By focusing on students in Chennai, the research offers a localized perspective within the Indian education system. Understanding these dynamics can help educators develop strategies that empower students with effective learning techniques, boosting their confidence and motivation to succeed academically. The study finds significant associations between the use of specific learning strategies and levels of self-efficacy and academic motivation. The results indicate that approaches such as active learning and goal-setting are particularly effective in enhancing students’ belief in their abilities and their drive to perform well. The research underscores the need for tailored educational programs that build students’ confidence and motivation, ultimately supporting their academic achievement.
