Abstract

The landscape of employee training is undergoing a significant transformation with the entry of Generation Z into the workforce. Known for their digital proficiency and distinct expectations in the workplace, this group is compelling organizations to rethink their strategies for enhancing employee skills. This study explores the primary methods that businesses use to train and develop Gen Z employees, aligning their professional growth with organizational goals. The research, conducted between April and July 2024, surveyed 350 Gen Z employees from various industries using an online questionnaire. The data were analysed with SPSS v26.0, utilizing Factor assessment and correlation study. The study highlights five major strategies: customized and interactive learning programs, certification pathways with financial incentives, role-specific development initiatives, collaborations with e-learning platforms, and internal online training methods. Together, these strategies offer a comprehensive solution for enhancing skills while ensuring engagement and long-term career satisfaction. The findings reveal that Gen Z tends to prioritize certifications that offer financial incentives, while organizations focus on career advancement frameworks tied to job roles. This analysis provides crucial insights for HR and management teams looking to fine-tune their learning strategies, equipping the next generation of professionals with the skills necessary for success.
