Abstract
This study aimed to develop an eco-friendly antifungal liquid hand wash using Acalypha indica and Tridax procumbens plant extracts. The formulation was prepared with natural ingredients and evaluated for its phytochemical composition, physicochemical properties, antimicrobial activity, and skin safety. The herbal hand wash exhibited good stability, a skin-friendly pH, effective antifungal and antibacterial activity, and no signs of skin irritation. The presence of bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and phenols contributed to its antimicrobial effectiveness. Overall, the developed formulation is a safe, biodegradable, and effective natural alternative to synthetic hand wash products, with potential applications in personal hygiene and sustainable healthcare.
