Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technologies and social media has fundamentally transformed political communication, enabling new forms of interaction between political actors and citizens. Within this evolving landscape, politainment—the convergence of politics and entertainment—has emerged as a dominant mode of disseminating political information, particularly among digitally connected audiences. While
politainment has increased the accessibility and visibility of political content, concerns remain regarding its
implications for democratic discourse, political polarization, and voter behaviour.
