Abstract

Before transactions are submitted to the ordering service and blocks are added to the ledger of blockchain, sensitive blood-chain data undergoes enhanced version of the popular algorithm ‘Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)’. In the AES process, a dynamic key is generated and used for encryption, introducing an additional layer of security as opposed to a static secret key. This symmetric key crypto-system is employed in the research work to elevate data security and confidentiality. Consequently, only an individual with access to the key used to generate the cipher text possesses the capability to decrypt and access the encrypted data. Additionally, the Hyperledger Caliper Tool is used to assess the transaction's performance using many metrics, including data encryption/decryption speed and storage.
