Abstract
Warehouse operations have emerged as a cornerstone of modern supply chain management, directly influencing
organizational efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction. This article presents a strategic analysis of
warehouse operations, with leading supply chain solutions provider located in Sriperumbudur, Chennai. Drawing on
primary survey data from
50 logistics and warehouse professionals, supported by Percentage Analysis, One-Way ANOVA, and Chi-Square
statistical tests, this study examines five critical constructs: External Factors, Warehouse Operations, Process
Efficiency, Order Management, and Picking and Throughput. Findings reveal that over 85% of respondents across all
constructs acknowledged the critical influence of these dimensions on overall warehouse performance. The study
further identifies that technology integration, structured workflows, accurate inventory management, and skilled
human resources are non-negotiable pillars of warehouse excellence. Implications for practitioners and
recommendations for strategic improvement are discussed, with a focus on transitioning from traditional warehouse
models to smart, digitally enabled operations.
