About the editors
Dr. Manish Kumar Gautam is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, at Assam Downtown University, Guwahati, Assam, India. He has completed his PhD in Pharmacology from the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. He has worked with CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, and CCRAS, Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi where he completed many extramural and intramural research projects. He has acquired more than 12 years of research experience and approx 2 years of industrial experience. His area of research is the safety and efficacy of herbal drugs, diabetes and its complications, wound healing, colitis, and metabolic diseases. He has contributed to 7 books and 6 book chapters, published 52 research papers in various national and international journals, and has received several awards. He contributed as a Technical Support Expert for the Development of Guidelines and consultative process “General Guidelines for Safety/Toxicity Evaluation of Ayurvedic Formulations” published by Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, New Delhi.
Dr. Gangwar holds a doctorate in Pharmacology from BHU, a master of pharmacy from Shobhit University, and a bachelor of pharmacy from Rajiv Academy for Pharmacy in 2009. He is currently working as a Scientist-C at, the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, focusing on research management and quality standards. Dr. Gangwar has numerous publications and has served as a board member and in editorial roles for national and international journals. He is a certified registered pharmacist in the Pharmacy Council of Lucknow, India, and a life member of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Association of India (MAPAI) and the Society for Bacteriophage Research and Therapy (SBRTLM00054).
Dr. Dileep Kumar earned his B.Pharm from Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal University, and his M.Pharm from S.G.S.I.T.S in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. He received a junior research fellowship from the National Medicinal Plant Board (NMPB) in New Delhi, a senior research fellowship from the University Grants Commission (UGC), a teaching assistantship, and an institute post-doctoral fellowship from IIT (BHU) Varanasi. He has also served as an assistant professor at Poona College of Pharmacy, Bharti Vidyapeeth University Pune. He is currently a visiting faculty member at the University of California, Davis. His research interests include designing and developing adamantyl analogs as GluN2B selective NMDA receptor antagonists and Amyloid-β protein aggregation inhibitors for treating Alzheimer's disease. He is involved in actively synthesizing soluble epoxide hydrolase (SEH) inhibitors as potential anticancer agents at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of California Davis, USA. He has contributed to numerous research and review articles in peer-reviewed journals.
