Abstract

Potholes on roads are a major cause of vehicle damage, traffic congestion, and accidents,
especially in urban areas. Traditional pothole detection relies on manual inspection, which is
time-consuming and inefficient. This project proposes a real-time pothole detection system
using smartphones that combines computer vision and sensor-based analysis.
