Road accidents have become increasingly common in recent years, leading to a significant
number of serious injuries and fatalities. In some cases people nearby may help, but many
times accidents happen in isolated areas or at night time. At that time no one is there to help
the injured person resulting in delays in emergency response and medical assistance. Because
of this, help reaches very late and the situation becomes serious. So it is important to reduce
the time taken to send accident information. This paper is made to solve this problem. It is a
smart accident detection and alert system. The system detects accident automatically and
sends the location details it is simple in design and low in cost, so it can be used in real time
situations. The system uses ESP32, MPU6050 sensor and GPS module. The MPU6050
sensor checks sudden movement, vibration and tilt of the vehicle. If any unusual movement is
detected, the system waits for few seconds. Then ESP32 sends an SMS with Google Maps
link to the enabled network saved phone number. During testing, the system worked well and
gave nearly 92 percent accuracy. This project helps to send help faster and improve rider
safety.
