Abstract
Abstract
Five types of wasps are collected from the farm and belong to the vespidae family. They are all similar in that they make paper nests and mud nests. However, they vary in size, shape and location. The number of eggs, larvae, pupae and adults in each nest collected was monitored. Adult’s behavior, field notes on the shape, location of the nests, humidity and temperature of the nest located place were complied, and the number of founders and subdominant females was reported. In this present study, morphological studies were revealed. We used a molecular marker (Mitochondrial COI) to identify the collected five wasp’s genus and species. DNA sequences vary between different species, and species can be identified with DNA sequence data. Currently, COI gene sequences are used as the main molecular identification tool for insects.
