Abstract

Adolescent wellbeing represents a multifaceted construct shaped by domestic
and societal environments, particularly during high school years marked by academic
pressures. This study integrates the HALVES model (Health, Autonomy, Learning, Values,
Equity, School Culture) to compare international trends (2012-2024) with regional data
from Malappuram, Kerala, focusing on family dynamics, psychological, social, and
academic dimensions, was examined via longitudinal mixed-methods (n=500, multi-cities
in Malappuram, Kerala CBSE schools, 2022-2025).
