Abstract

A positive organisational climate at the workplace motivates employees, increases morale, enhances the company’s profile, and attracts new talent. Organisational climate properties significantly influence workplace productivity and interpersonal relationships. This study analyses the most important determinants of organisational climate on employee job satisfaction in the IT industry in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. A descriptive research design and simple random sampling method were used, with data collected from 347 IT employees through a structured questionnaire. Statistical tools including descriptive statistics, regression, correlation, and ANOVA were employed to examine relationships between independent and dependent variables. The findings reveal that organisational climate dimensions such as consistency, adaptability, involvement, mission, and responsibility have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction, emotional intelligence, and employee motivation in IT companies.
